An idyllic rural retreat set in a nature reserve, up an unmade track within the Rusland Valley and surrounded by wildlife. The Bothy is attached to the owners home and makes a perfect holiday base for exploring the magnificent Lake District.

Equidistant between Lake Windermere and Coniston Water, the Grizedale Forest is nearby for wonderful walks, cycle rides and the ’Go Ape’ adventure course. For the more energetic a climb up The Old Man of Coniston is rewarded by stunning views from its 803 metre summit.

The market town of Ulverston with stylish shops, cinema, museums and restaurants is 6 miles, or leave the car and enjoy a 1.3 mile stroll to Bouth. Alternatively, just relax in peaceful tranquillity amongst woodland, river and tarn.

Shop 3 miles and pub, serving food 1.3 miles.
