This is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful sandy beaches, historical castles and stunning countryside in the surrounding area. There is an abundance of castles to visit and explore in Northumberland. Visit Lindisfarne (Holy Island), across the causeway at low tide, and discover the medieval fairy tale castle, or explore the ruins of the priory. Alnwick Castle featured in the Harry Potter films, and the Duchess’ beautiful water cascade and gardens make for an interesting day out and are a short drive away. Golf and horse riding are available locally. Shop, restaurant and pub 100 yards.
