With superb, far-reaching views of the sea and Connemara mountains, this romantic thatched hideaway nestles in its own large natural garden in a peaceful spot on the Renvyle Peninsula. Full of olde worlde charm with its tiny cottage windows, turf-burning stove and beams, it is a perfect retreat for honeymooners. There is good hill walking, climbing, cycling and horse riding locally, with the Killary outdoor pursuits centre nearby. Scuba-diving can be arranged. About a mile away, at Derryinver Pier (with deep-sea fishing and boat trips), is the Ocean Alive Centre. Ten-minute stroll to beaches. Golf course at hotel, 1½ miles. Tully village ¼ mile.
