Property Description

Occupying a stunning coastal location with spectacular views over the sea to the Isle of Mull, this traditional Keeper’s cottage is beautifully situated for admiring magnificent sunsets and unwinding from the pressures of modern day life. Tastefully decorated and spaciously laid out, with three staircases leading to the four bedrooms, it stands surrounded by its own large garden. Just 400 yards away is the sea and the slipway for the ferry to Mull, as well as a community centre housing facilities for table tennis, pool and badminton, as well as a gym and a cafe.
The appealing crofting village of Kilchoan offers an excellent base for touring the Ardnamurchan Peninsula; visit Ardnamurchan Point, with its unmanned lighthouse and visitor centre, explore the white sandy beach of Sanna Bay, with its spectacular views over the Small Islands, or spend a fascinating day at Glenmore Natural History Centre. An abundance of wildlife can be spotted along the coastline; seals, whales, dolphins, otters and numerous bird species can all be sighted locally.
Also well worth a visit is Castle Tioram; perched on a rocky promontory jutting out into Loch Moidart, this atmospheric castle dates back to the 13th century and was once the seat of the MacDonalds of Clanranald. Further afield, surrounding Loch Morar (home to Nessie’s lesser-known rival Morag) are the heather-decked mountains featured in the movie Rob Roy. The beautiful island of Mull is easily accessible, and probably most famous for its attractive town of Tobermory, its clusters of brightly coloured houses and boats sheltering in a bay backed by a steep bluff. The Isle of Ulva, just off the west coast of Mull, is a nature-lovers paradise. It’s great walking country, with several paths criss-crossing the rocky heather moorland – and you’re almost guaranteed to spot some of the abundant wildlife, which includes deer, buzzards, golden eagles, sea eagles and seals.

Large living room with splendid sea views. Dining-room. Very spacious, modern fitted kitchen. Breakfast room with oil-fired Esse cooker. Utility. Snug with open fire. Two separate W.C.s. Three separate staircases to first floor: Three bedrooms; two doubles and one twin-bedded, each with sloping ceilings and en-suite bathroom/W.C. with shower attachment.
