Set within the Ardmaddy Estate, Caddleton Farmhouse enjoys an idyllic lochside location and is set amongst the unspoilt hills and glens of a quiet peninsula overlooking Seil Sound, about 12 miles south of Oban. The castle’s well known gardens, open all year round with Scotland’s Garden Scheme, are spectacular and a delight for gardening enthusiasts. They feature an extensive selection of colourful rhododendrons, unusual trees and shrubs and a formal kitchen garden, whilst the many acres of surrounding grounds offer superb hill walking and are a paradise for bird-watchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Sailing, rowing and motor boats are all available for guests to hire, and there is free fishing on Ardmaddy’s stocked hill loch. The estate and local area is ideal for cycling. Riding and golf are both within half an hour’s drive, and the area is perfect for touring, with miles of interesting coastline.
