A pretty hideaway with its own patio garden, it overlooks a gently valley with the village church on the other side. Originally the brewer’s cottage, it is attached to the Old Brewery which is an impressive local landmark. Within walking distance is Freshford’s pub and the railway station serving Bath, Bradford-on-Avon and other towns and villages. Freshford offers beautiful canal and river walks, and has some fascinating Georgian village architecture. 6 miles away is the World Heritage City of Bath with many interesting shops, restaurants, galleries and museums as well as the famous Roman Baths and Pump Rooms, the Royal Crescent and spa with its magnificent rooftop swimming-pool. There are many NT properties in the area, including Dyrham Park, Tyntesfield, Great Chalfield Manor and Lacock Abbey.
