Surrounded by miles of open countryside, fields and scenic walks along a historic disused canal, it is abundant in wildlife, including many birds, as well as pheasants, rabbits and badgers.
Paddock Barn and The Courtyard are attached, and have been designed with a similar layout, including L-shaped open plan living room/dining room/kitchen with slate floors and wood-burning stoves, and spacious bedrooms with vaulted ceilings.
The Little Yard is adjacent and provides cosy, comfortable accommodation, and is ideal for couples or smaller families. West Cottage lies slightly apart, about 150 yards from the other 3 barn conversions, and is a 19th centrury refurbished cottage. These properties can all be booked together to accommodate larger groups, to sleep a maximum of 26 guests in total.
Conveniently located, Barnham Court Farm is located just 4 miles from the nearest quiet pebbled beach, Climping, whilst the unspoilt beach at West Witering is only about 20 minutes’ drive away. Other seaside resorts closeby with plenty of family entertaiment include Littlehmapton, Worthing and Bognor Regis. Chichester is only 6 miles away, with its beautiful ornate cathedral and abundance of pedestrianised cobbled lanes with various shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. Other amenities include a leisure centre with indoor pool, a cinema complex, the popular Festival Theatre which has year-round productions, and famous Goodwood Races for horse or motor racing; Fontwell racecourse is also only about 3 miles away. Other places of interest include The Weald and Downland open air museum, and historic Arundel with castle cathedral, various book and art shops, and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust – ideal for bird-watchers. Slightly further afield is Brighton, perfect for a family day out, boasting the decadent Royal Pavilion, art galleries, theatres and Sea Life Museum, plus seaside entertainment along the promenade and pier. The South Downs National Park is less than 3 miles away with wonderful opportunities for walking and riding, with many footpaths. This light and spacious single-storey holiday property has been tastefully restored from a courtyard of barns and boasts far-reaching views over the paddocks, fields and open countryside beyond. Standing detached in a working arable farm setting, it lies just 4 miles from the nearest beach. The house is laid out in an ‘L’ shape, with the living accommodation at one end, and sleeping at the other. The separate family room/study has its own comfortable futon-bed, which can be converted to an extra bedroom (for +2). Refurbished to a very high standard, there are rugs on slate floors and partial underfloor heating, as well as an enclosed sitting-out area which takes in the lovely view - perfect for enjoying the sunsets!
Conveniently located, Chichester is only about 6 miles away, with its abundance of pedestrianised cobbled lanes with shops, tearooms, and restaurants. Other amenities include a public swimming pool and leisure centre. The Festival theatre has year-round productions, and the beautiful ornate cathedral is definitely worth visiting. Also nearby is Goodwood with its motor or horse racing, the Weald and Down museum, and Fontwell Races. Arundel is just 4 miles distant, with a castle and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre - ideal for bird-watchers.
