They are set in 1¾ acres of mature wooded gardens (with grassed areas, ideal for ball games) which lead down to the River Cocker where fishing is available by local licence. The property is situated in the hamlet of Rogerscale, just 8 miles (via the Whinlatter Pass) from Keswick, the Northern ’capital’ of the Lakes, making this an ideal base from which to explore both the northern Lakes and the west coast. The area offers stunning scenery, with Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere within 15 minutes’ drive. Easily reached are Derwent Water (with steamers) and Bassenthwaite (with sailing and canoeing), while the Whinlatter Forest Centre offers extensive walking and cycling trails.
