Located midway between the towns of Kingsbridge, Totnes and Dartmouth, this is a stunning area to explore with many gorgeous sandy beaches and stunning coastline found close by. Many Blue Flag beaches are well within easy reach, including Slapton Sands, Beesands, East Portlemouth, Bantham, Bigbury and Thurlestone. Dartmoor, on the River Dart makes for an enjoyable day out, as does Totnes - a delightful old town steeped in history and enjoying a colourful and exuberant atmosphere. Salcombe is another pretty riverside town, boasting a busy estuary with many yachts sailing by and a myriad of interesting shops and pleasant pubs in its winding streets. Great walking can be found along the coastal path and Dartmouth lies within easy reach and makes a great day out exploring the rugged moorland. A little further afield lies the Eden Project. Riding, sailing, sea and coarse fishing are all available locally. Shops 4 miles, pub serving food 1 mile.
