An indoor heated swimming-pool and family sauna room – available all year round – complete the fine facilities on offer. Refurbished throughout, it makes a fantastic retreat for larger families or a number of couples holidaying together at any time of year.
Situated along a quiet country lane, the cottage lies 2 miles away from the ancient village of Stratton with its interesting array of shops, inns and church, and 4 miles from the sandy beaches at Bude, which are popular with surfers. There is also a sea water swimming-pool to enjoy at Bude, as well as many other seaside attractions including shops, pubs and restaurants. Horse riding, ten pin bowling, Splash Leisure Centre and an 18-hole golf course are further activities to enjoy there. The North Cornwall coastal footpath and Bude Canal towpath offer pleasant scenery and opportunities for bird-watching and fishing. An excellent base for touring the whole of Devon, as well as Dartmoor, Exmoor and Cornwall. Eden Project, an hour’s drive. Pub 2 miles.
