There is fishing and canoeing on the Charente, windsurfing on the Lake of Champagne, beach swimming at Lake Lavaud, tennis and riding available locally. Golf courses within an hour’s drive away. Civray is less than 3km away with a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. A daily boulangerie van visits and a supply of eggs from the ’resident’ chickens! The ’Monkey Valley’ is 15 minutes away and Poitiers just a 40 minute drive. To the south are Angoulême and Confolens.
