On Brittany’s attractive south west coast, this 15th-century cottage is set within the beautiful 90 hectare grounds of a manor house hotel, along with one other cottage. It enjoys its own garden near to the owners’ stable yard, surrounded by the unspoilt forests of the estate, while just below is the Belon River, perfect for leisurely walks. Nearby is the pretty village of Moëlan-sur-Mer and the picturesque ports of Merrien and Brigneau. The local market is held on Tuesdays, with an abundance of fresh produce and a superb array of locally caught seafood. The ancient city of Quimper is worth a visit, full of charm with cobbled streets, cathedral and museums. There are crêperies and interesting shops to browse, where the famous hand-painted traditional pottery can be found.
