Property Description
Situated in a tiny, quiet hamlet, this detached stone cottage has been renovated to a very good standard and visitors benefit from the use of a lawned garden and magnificent swimming-pool. Despite the peaceful setting, the property is only 8kms from the charming riverside town of Montignac and just 15km from medieval Sarlat with its famous market. An interesting way to explore the surrounding area is by canoe, which can be hired in Montignac. Once on the river, there are plenty of riverside restaurants to stop off at and enjoy a meal or drink. This entire area is rich in history and the surrounding countryside and scenery are breathtaking. The River Vézère winds its way through Montignac to St Leon Vézère - one of France’s prettiest villages and passes Les Eyzies with its museum of pre-history and riverside market. Beynac with its beautiful castle and Le Bugue are both also easily accessible for the day.
