Property Description
Set in the golden triangle known as the Périgord Noir, between the historic towns of Beaumont and Cadouin, this lovely, stone built former ‘pigeonnier’ nestles on a quiet hillside with its own swimming pool. Spacious and comfortable, it boasts a classic French interior, furnished with antiques and a large covered terrace. The holiday home is arranged in two parts, and boasts exposed stone walls and tiled floors. The pretty village of St. Avit is just five minutes away, with many places to visit nearby including the Bastide towns of Beaumont and Monpazier, ancient abbeys such as Cadouin, and historic Bergerac, from where boat trips on the river can be enjoyed. The local markets are always worth exploring for delicious farm produce, duck pate and truffles, and the Monbazillac Vineyards are also accessible from here.
