In the pretty Périgordian countryside called ‘Périgord Vert’, this ancient farmhouse has been completely and tastefully restored to offer a perfect holiday base from which to explore the beautiful countryside. Set in a very peaceful location, a few exterior steps lead to a private swimming pool and the fresh stone house is surrounded by lovely woodland walks. You can also discover the Gorges of Auvézère from Genis, or visit the magnificent château of Hautefort nearby. Enjoying the slow pace of countryside life, the farmhouse gives easy access to some of the finest medieval architecture in France, and is close to Europe’s most important prehistoric caves at Lascaux. There is a large horse riding centre at Pompadour 15km away, or fishing along the little streams around. There are two free bicycles and one child’s bicycle provided on the premises, for exploring this wonderful area.
