Located in the little village of Burie with shops, it is in an area rich in history and culture, with the cities of Cognac and Saintes only a twenty minute drive. Tours of the distilleries and boat trips can be taken, as well as classical and jazz festivals and their beautiful golf courses. For a day out, Fouras is a short drive away and visitors can take a ferry to Ile d’Aix, the last retreat of Napoleon. A little further afield is the old harbour of La Rochelle with its aquarium and many interesting shops, as well a lovely beach and clear blue waters. Fly via Angoulême and Cognac.
