Well-situated at the edge of a village, these properties are set amidst pretty Calvados countryside, with its quiet winding lanes and peaceful towns and villages to visit. Within the grounds of Le Relais is an astro tennis court and swimming pool, which are shared with the owners and other guests. There are excellent golf facilities available at Omaha Beach. Close by is Balleroy, where a château is open to the public and there is an interesting hot-air balloon museum to visit, while Bayeux is to the north; renowned throughout the world for its tapestry, this town is also home to an impressive cathedral. To the east is Caen, with its stylish shopping centre, pretty marina, cafés and restaurants. For picnicking and cycling, there are some lovely lanes through nearby Cerisy Forest. This area is also famous for its gastronomic delights; there are some excellent restaurants dotted around, and with such a long coastline, great seafood is available all year – the perfect accompaniment to a glass of local cider. The two properties (F14110/F14111) can be booked together for one party, to give exclusive use of the swimming pool, tennis and petanque.
