The end one of a row, it has been furnished and equipped to a high standard, and offers spacious accommodation and has an enclosed part-walled garden. A second living room with TV and video makes this ideal for families.
The Avon Valley Path lies a few hundred yards from the cottage. There are many scenic walks to be enjoyed along the Avon Valley, where a wide variety of bird life can be observed within a natural habitat. The village itself is in a designated Area of Special Scientific Interest primarily for the river and the abundance of bird life. Nearby lies picturesque Christchurch (approximately 2 miles), a pretty priory town with its own quay and harbour providing local boat trips. A short drive away is the lively beach resort of Bournemouth with its many sandy beaches, together with many welcoming bars, shops and seaside attractions. Local beaches approximately 3 miles.
The cottage is situated on the edge of the New Forest where wild ponies roam freely among miles of heath land and there are many places of interest to visit within the area, such as the village of Burley, Exbury Gardens and Beaulieu Motor Museum. Regular ferries to the Isle of Wight depart from the famous royal yachting town of Lymington, and slightly further afield is Southampton, a port steeped in seafaring history, with good shopping facilities, and a contemporary art gallery. The historic cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury are within easy reach. Three good local pubs all serving food are within walking distance (nearest 100 yards).
