Nestling in the 120 acre manorial common of Stelling Minnis and Lyminge Forest in an area of outstanding natural beauty is Courthope Farm. The holiday cottages have been sympathetically renovated in keeping with their surroundings. All guests are able to use the hot tub in the centre of the courtyard and can also explore the owner’s 8 acres of farmland. Ideally situated for walkers and cyclists close to the North Downs Way and many other cycle routes. Catch the county cricket at Canterbury or try your luck at the races at Folkestone race course. Car racing can be enjoyed at Lydden and Brands Hatch and birdwatchers will be in their element at Dungeness, Sandwich or Stodmarsh. For the garden enthusiast, Kent has more gardens open to the public than any other county in England so try Scotney Castle garden and Sissinghurst. Castles are also abundant – see Leeds, Dover and Walmer and if you wish to visit further afield the Channel Tunnel is a 10 minute drive, enabling you to visit France or if you prefer to go by ferry – Dover is 30 minutes away.
